Vinyl Plastic Cups

I am excited to be a guest on "She's A Sassy Lady" today.  You can see my post there as well.   Go by and visit Sheila, the "Sassy Lady" herself at http://www.shesasassylady.blogspot.com/ and lots of other super talented designers projects show them some love!

For my project, I decorating a clear cup with vinyl. It's fun, simple, and  quick and they look so cute.

The supplies I used are clear plastic cups from Bed Bath and Beyond ($3.99), Cricut cartridge Forever Young, Cricut Lite cartridge Varsity Letters, Cricut transfer tape and vinyl (I got off of Amazon.com).

I first started by cutting the women figures i was going to use along with clothing and accessories.  After I have cut out the images, I remove all excess vinyl because its easier to see where you need to place layers and when you use your transfer tape you don't want to grab the excess parts.

I cut these women out at 4 inches.  AKA is cut at 2 inches and 1908 is cut at 1 1/2 inches.  Layering hte pieces seemed to be the only hard part for me.  Trying to layer each piece right the first time because once it sticks down, its there.  *So patience is the key that I learned with working with vinyl.

After you have gotten your pieces put together, Next you will cut your transfer tape big enough to cover the image you are about to use. Then peel back the backing of the transfer tape to where the vinyl is sticking to the transfer tape.

* I tried to do one without using the transfer tape, BIG NO NO.  Transfer tape is your friend. Use it.  LOL

Next you will place your transfer sheet exactly where you want it on the cup, because remember once its down, it's down.  Rub over it to make sure all parts are sticking down and then pull back the transfer tape.

And then you'll add whatever other images you need the same way.

I had so much fun with these that a made some other things also.

Another cup with a dragon

A wine glass with a music note

And a vase with a rose

Thank you for looking and I'd also like to thank Sheila, for having me here as a guest designer.

So What's New Blog Hop Day 2

If your coming from Lori's blog @ www. blogginthecrafts.blogspot.com  then your in the right sopt.

I saw a friend (Sharon Heckstall) do this cute little money holder.  I thought this would be a good idea for me with Christmas coming up. This will give me a place to put the amount of money I plan to spend on each child in one place.  So once I have used all of that childs money on their toys, thats it.  This would also be great for weddings. So here's my spin on this.

I first started out with just plain white envelopes.  I glued four of them together and then i cut them down to 4".

Next I cut the paper I was going to use the same width as the envelope. I left the length longer than length cut because i was adding a flap for closure.

Here's waht the inside will look like

Next I cut tags from A Child's Year cartridge at 3.75" and I inked the edges.  I did tags because I could write my nieces and nephew Christmas list on there and also their clothes and shoe sizes.

This is how they look in the envelopes.  Sorry I didnt have any cash to put in there to show.

Added a Mrs. Claus to the front. I cut her from Paperdoll Dress Up and i cut her out at 3.50".  I added pearls to side and a red rhinestone in the middle.

And this fits perfectly in my purse.  Thanks for stopping by.

Blog Hop Candy

I finally made it to the store to purchase my blog hop candy.  It's kinda hard not knowing the person I'm shopping for but who ever gets it, I hope you enjoy.

It's an 8*8 paper pack, some die cuts, flowers and a reusable tote from JoAnns.

So What's new Blog Hop

If came from Karen's blog @ http://www.karenscraftyspot.blogspot.com/, then your in the right spot

This is my very first blog hop and I'm nervous and excited at the same time.  I attended the CKC in San Marcos last month and I did a simple make n take  for $1.

Since Halloween is coming up I thought it would be a cute idea do some for my daughters Kindergarten class.

Items I used was the Expression 2, A Childs Year Cricut cartridge, Stampin Up cellophane bags 1"*8", a pack of pencils, Marvy scallop edge and regular punch, scissors, tape and pop dots, oh and candy of course.

First i put the candy and pencils into their own seperate bags.

Next I cut out the scalloed edge and the straight edge circle withe punches.  I also cut out the orange pumpkin and the black with inthe broom with the childs year cartridge set a 2".

I glued the ribbon and the bags to one side of the scalled punch.

The finished product

On the witch I used a pop dot to give it dimension and on the orange circle i inked the edges in black.  Now I have 12 more of these finishes.  I hope you enjoyed my little project.
